How Kids Heal Through Play

PLAY is exactly what is missing from our adult-centered days.

Kids thrive on play.
Play is their daily work.
It's how they learn.

It's the way they communicate.

But it's so easy to forget the importance (and hidden gems) of this life-affirming activity.

Play can help us out of a gloomy mood. It can break the tension of frustration and it can repair the bond of trust when our emotions get the best of us.

For children, play can make difficult emotions and scary experiences less frightening and you can use the language of play to resolve hurt feelings or fears your child can't put into words.

In this TEACHable Moments video, I'm sharing how to decode the message of behavior and 3 ways you can help kid's heal through play

Has your child ever had an experience that was frightening or unpleasant which they repeated the story of ad nauseum?

What did you do to help your child recover?

After you watch the video, share your story in the comments below - it might just be the clue that someone else needs to tackle their current challenge!

Thank you so much for reading and remember, it's about being conscious - not perfect!
